My First Pregnancy Experience; Maybe It Can Help You

I had no way of knowing what the future held for me when I was pregnant with my first child. It did not take long for me to find out. The first trimester was pretty normal, nothing changed. I woke in the mornings a couple of times with a slight case of morning sickness but that was it. Then the second trimester hit and I soon learned that I needed new clothes badly. I had been putting it off but it was time to shop for maternity wear.

I was not looking forward to shopping for clothes for pregnant women because I just assumed they would all be ugly and out of style. I was very pleased when I got there to see that I was wrong, they had many stylish maternity clothes to choose from. These clothes looked just like regular stylish clothes.

I was so relieves that I would be able to have stylish clothes while being pregnant. I did not buy more than a couple things because I was in the second trimester and I thought I needed to wait until I got a lot bigger before I bought more clothes.

In the beginning of the third trimester we had been to the maternity store twice already and I was on my way back. I bought a lot of outfits and even some for me to wear once I had my baby. I knew I would need time before I could wear my old clothes again.

Around the time I got 8 months along I figured it was time to get all of my shopping done and have the baby room complete to bring my gorgeous bundle of joy home in. We learned that the sex of the baby I was carrying was a girl. So we had to buy girlie clothes, socks, bibs, hair bows, all types of things. So we went shopping for all the adorable little girl clothes we could find. We found a lot and we bought a lot.

The one thing I saw and feel in love with immediately was the ladybug baby bedding. I just had to have it. So we get home with all of our new things and start putting them away. The nursery was looking beautiful especially after I added the new ladybug stuff to it.

A month later I went in labor and my gorgeous daughter was born. A few days later when we were trying to get ready to head home with our baby I was dressing her in one of the cutest outfits I had bought for her and it was just too big. I actually had to put her in the sleepwear we brought with us since nothing else would fit her. She wore nothing but sleepers for the first four weeks she was home. She was just such a small baby that nothing else would fit her. The point is you may think you are prepared but when your baby arrives you will never be prepared again.
